Evidence of Evolution

There’s no shadow without a light.

There’s no sadness without a sin.

The things that we say we want to escape,

Are only visible in the light of what we want.

Because we are the contrast.

We are invisible without a shadow,

And only possible with a light.

And my scars, proof of hurt,

But evidence of evolution.
